Two huge upgrades: 1.) Now you can charge tax on your projects and a default tax rate can be set in your prefs. 2.) You can run reports based on the year an invoice is received.

10/26/2004 Launch Date Set
Barring any major unforeseen problems, Side Job Track should be publicly launching version 0.9rc on 11/01/2004. This launch will not include Google text ads as I still have some lingering questions about how that will impact the application and how to craft the privacy policy to reflect its inclusion -- but that will most likely be the very next thing added to the application.
Hopefully tonight I can get the printable invoices jazzed up.
10/24/2004 Final Revisions
An assortment of final revisions have been made and a few negligible bugs were corrected this weekend. An additional step was added to the walk through that directs a new user to set his or her preferences before entering information later in that now 9 step process. The style guides have also been updated, so be sure and shift + refresh to grab the latest versions.
I also wrote out the first draft of what I hope to become a nice article about building Side Job Track as a standards-based web application; so watch for that too.
10/19/2004 Minor Language Changes
The currency format preference was finished and you can set your currency type in your preferences. Other than that, there are only a few display bugs (IE, I'm looking in your direction) and minor clean-up issues. Unless any major issues come up, the site should be ready to officially launch very soon.
10/17/2004 Application Updates
A whole mess of updates were made over the weekend in the final build up to the official Side Job Track launch & opening of new user creation to the public.
Mostly related to the language of the walk through that greets new users, the clean-up of a few work-flow related issues resolved some of the more confusing paths for managing invoices and projects.
For beta-testers: You will now find a feedback link at the top of the application, near the link to access your account details. If you notice any problems with the recent updates, use that to notify me.

Side Job Track News launches with the high hopes of logging the latest news and major milestones related to this site. Check back often to find out when the site officially launches and new user creation opens up.
For beta-testers: e-mail invoicing was recently finished. Take a look at the process, make sure you can navigate the system easily, and let me know if you experience any problems.
